Kent wins Lady Eagle Invitational
The 14th annual Lady Eagle Invitational was held Wednesday at Candywood Golf Club with 105 golfers participating.
Kent Roosevelt, led by the Nielsen sisters, set a new tournament record of 294. Kasey Neilson shot a 69 followed by her younger sister, Kory, with a 70. Both scores broke the old record of 71 held by Poland graduate and current YSU player Angela Molasky.
Jackson placed second, scoring a 324. They were led by Landry Grace’s 79. Coming in third was Green with a 328.
Local teams placing were Columbiana in seventh with 379, host Kennedy finished eighth with a 381. Howland placed 12th, shooting a 398, followed by Poland in 16th with a 429. Cardinal Mooney shot a 482, placing 19th.
