YNDC partners with Cortland Banks: Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation and Cortland Banks announced a strategic collaboration to provide a mortgage loan program to offer first mortgage financing on homes rehabilitated by YNDC in Youngstown neighborhoods. Cortland Banks has committed $300,000 to the program, which will assist prospective homebuyers. YNDC is a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency offering pre-purchase counseling and home-buyer education to assist prospective home buyers.

Business attorney joins firm: Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell announced the addition of attorney Denise Glinatsis Bayer, of Canfield, as an associate in the firm. Bayer has more than three years in independent practice, counseling entrepreneurs, middle-market business owners and nonprofit organizations. Her work included entity formation, commercial transactions, contract negotiation and drafting and corporate governance issues. She also has served as in-house counsel for Youngstown-based Cafaro Company and is founder of the The Legal Creative. At HHM she will focus on business and nonprofit formation and organization, business transactions and real estate. Glinatsis earned her bachelor of fine arts degree from Youngstown State University and her juris doctorate from the Case Western Reserve School of Law.
Bank breaks ground: Farmers National Bank broke ground on a new branch office location at 210 W. State St., Alliance, across from the University of Mount Union. The 2,000-square-foot interior will feature non-traditional teller pods and the exterior will include a two-lane drive-through area with ATM access. It is targeted for a late spring 2015 opening.
