Mr. and Mrs. Preston Foster of Warren, received a 50th anniversary surprise by their children with a trip down memory lane at Bowling Green State University.
Preston and Sharon were married June 13, 1964, in the Parma Heights Baptist Church, Parma Heights. They lived in Bowling Green for two years while Preston completed both his bachelor's and master's degrees in education at BGSU.
They moved to Warren in 1966 and Preston taught industrial arts / vocational education at Warren Western Reserve High School for 24 years, retiring in 1992. Sharon was a homemaker for many years, then worked as a customer service representative at Ohio Edison for 14 years, retiring in 1998.
The couple have two children, Kim (Rick) Heskett of Columbus and Kurt (Laura) of Dublin, Ohio. They also have three granddaughters.
A trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., Dollywood and the Biltmore Estate are planned for September.
