BENEFIT TO HELP WOMAN: A fundraiser is planned for Saturday to help Kevina Koval, 27, of Campbell, who is battling brain cancer. Throughout her life, she has struggled with medical issues, such as seizures.
Since December of 2013, she has lost vision looking up, down, left and right. She was told in July her tumor is cancerous. She is undergoing chemotherapy.
Push For Kevina will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph the Provider Hall, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell.
There will be a Chinese auction, push up competition, games, free children's face painting, music and food. All proceeds will assist with her medical expenses, traveling fees and anything else that she needs.

AUTISM GROUP CONCLUDES CAMP: The Donnell Autism Society of Ohio, Mahoning Valley Office, in collaboration with the Youngstown YMCA, and Supported and Facilitated Environments hosted a summer camp for special needs at the Youngstown YMCA.
Camp F.R.I.E.N.D.: Finding Rewards In Every New Day is the first program of its kind in the Mahoning Valley. This camp was dedicated to offering an inclusive day camp experience for students with autism and their compassionate neurotypical friends.

SOCIETY OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP: The Trumbull County Historical Society is accepting applications for its Becky Smith Memorial Scholarship.
Students at Kent State University at Trumbull must have completed at least one semester of study and be carrying eight credit hours. Students at Youngstown State University must be a graduate student in history and also be carrying eight credit hours. Both scholarships are for $500.
