l Employed Valerie Sullivan as a teacher of exceptional children at Niles McKinley High School on a one-year limited teaching contract for the 2014-15 school year at a salary of $44,460, effective Aug. 25;
l Employed Andrea King as an integrated math teacher at Niles McKinley High School on a one-year limited teaching contract for the 2014-15 school year at a salary of $28,870, effective Aug. 25.

WHAT: Southington Township trustees meeting on Wednesday
PRESENT:?Sam Plott, Dan Tietz and Bob Reader
l Approved Brad Kellar to paint the cemetery chapel off state Route 305, which officials said has not been worked on for about 20 years. Kellar will paint the chapel columns and doors and other parts for $2,160. Kellar will also do repainting and work at the fire station's kitchen at $1,008;
l Approved Suit-Kote at up to $50,000 for oil emulsion work that is needed to be done to the roads prior to chip-and-seal work which begins next week;
l Approved Crown Cleaning for pressure wash rebuilding work at the fire department at $506 and the township garage at $539;
l Approved Handyman a $809 for relamping with new light bulbs the path at the fire station and squad turnout gear rooms at station;
l Approved Hordesky Brothers at $2,396 for removal of scrap tires collected with the township to be reimbursed by the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste District.
