LEAVITTSBURG - Shirley Ann Dean, 70, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, in her home.
Shirley was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Warren, the daughter of John and Mary Bodnar Balog.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church and retired from Packard Electric Company.

Shirley is survived by a son, Roger J. Dean of Cortland; three brothers, Tony Yakus of Warren, George Yakus of Arizona and John Kresen of Warren; and two sisters, Julia Lawrence of Niles and Mary Baker of Niles.
Besides her husband, Roger L. Dean, Shirley was preceded in death by a sister.
Calling hours will take place 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, where a 4:30 p.m. Panichida service will take place.
A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, preceded by closing prayers at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, prior to leaving for the church.
Burial will take place in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Lordstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.
