Fri., 8 pm: Warren crews at site of demolition fire

August 1, 2014
Tribune Chronicle

WARREN -- Fire crews are at the former Austin Village Plaza on West Market Street trying to get to the root of a fire inside a large pile of debris.

Warren firefighters were called to the site just before 8 p.m. as smoke billowed from the large pile of rubble and flames could be scene from a distance. Officials said it appears the fire resulted from the demolition process at the vacant plaza site -- something they said is not uncommon.

Officials do not believe the fire was set intentionally. No injuries have been reported.
