HOWLAND - Robert T. Kenyon Sr., 60, of Howland, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his home with family by his side.
Robert was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Cleveland, a son of Merritt II and Norma Lichty Kenyon.
Robert attended Western Reserve High School before going to work at the General Motors plant in Lordstown, where he was employed as a custodian for 30 years before retiring in 2009.
He loved woodworking and listening to music, especially the blues. He enjoyed computers and his weekly card game with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Murphy; two daughters, Amy Kenyon (fiance Thomas Hood) of Cleveland and Jenifer (Greg) Jones of Fountain Inn, S.C.; two grandchildren, Zach and Katie Jones; as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, and longtime family friend, Sean Bye.
He was preceded in death by two sons, James A. and Robert T. Kenyon Jr.; his parents; and one brother, Merritt "Beefy" Kenyon III.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive, Warren, OH 44483. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park.
