NILES - Christine E. Lorent, 82, passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Warren, following an extended illness.
Christine was born April 6, 1932, in Fayetteville, W.Va., the daughter of John and Nellie Belle Rutherford Coppney, and came to this area many years ago.
She retired in 1994 as a line operator at Packard Electric Company, following 26 years of service. She enjoyed family gatherings.
Christine is survived by her husband, Roy T. Lorent; two daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Zamaria of Warren and Carol Vars of Niles; three sons, Leonard Stanley of Missouri, David Stanley of McDonald and John Stanley of Niles; daughter-in-law, Pam Stanley of Niles; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Pennington of West Virginia and Nancy Vandercook of Toledo; a brother, Albert Coppney of Boston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Criss Keller; and a grandson.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in West Virginia.
