WARREN An employee at a local cash advance reported that the business was robbed on Monday.
The employee told police that she had unlocked the door and entered Quik Cash, 1602 Parkman Road N.W., around 9 a.m. when someone approached the door as she was about to lock it from inside, according to a Warren police report.
She told police the male pushed the door open, entered the business and ordered her to give him the money in the safe.
The employee told police that the intruder followed her to the room where the safe was located and pushed her after she opened the safe, causing her to fall, the report states. She told police that the intruder grabbed two deposit bags out of the safe and left. She then called police, the report states.
The employee described the intruder as a black male possibly in his mid 30s, about six feet tall with a large build and that he was wearing dark clothing and a black hat. She said she did not know how much money was in the deposit bags. However, the manager, who arrived later, told police that there was approximately $16,000 between the two deposit bags.
