MOOSE LODGE HOSTS FUNDRAISER: The Cortland Moose Lodge 1012 will sponsor Moose Rock from 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday to support the National Foundation for Transplants at the lodge, 6400 state Route 46, Mecca. Various singers and musical performances are scheduled.
The lodge supports organ donation. All proceeds donated to the National Foundation for Transplants in the name of the Moose member Annette Maraczi, a liver transplant recipient. Proceeds from alcohol and food will go to the Moose and Moose Haven Charities.

ARBY'S REUNION AT CENTER: A reunion of Arby's former corporate employees will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tyler Mahoning Valley Hope Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown. SUMMER FINALE AT CHURCH: Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown will hold a celebration finale of its Children's Defense Fund Summer Freedom School Program from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday. The finale will celebrate the program's student scholars and highlight accomplishments achieved during their enrollment in the literacy based summer enrichment program.
State Sen. Joe Schiavoni and Youngstown Mayor John McNally will speak, and U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown is expected to join via teleconference. Student scholars will demonstrate what they have achieved during the summer, and each scholar will be provided books to start their own personal library.
The event will honor its various program supporters, staff and volunteers. Refreshments will be served, and reservations can be made by calling 330-747-9624.
