BRISTOLVILLE- Helen B. Mahan, 93, of Bristolville, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Washington Square Healthcare.
She was born May 10, 1921, in Campbell, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Goia Bogdan.
She was a graduate of Champion High School and Warren City Hospital Nursing School. Along with being a homemaker, Helen was a registered nurse and worked at Warren General Hospital for several years.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Helen was a former member of Bristolville United Methodist Church.
Helen's memory will be carried on by her loving sons, John William (Linda) Mahan of Bristolville and Robin "Rob" Stewart (Linda) Mahan of Chelsea, Mich.; grandsons, Michael (Courtney) Mahan and Kyle (Kristen Parks) Mahan; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Eden Mahan; and niece, Barbara (Dale) Obringer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William A. Mahan, who passed away May 7, 1981; sisters, Sylvia Walton and Sheila Joan Bogdan; brothers, John and Victor Bogdan.
According to Helen's wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements were handled by Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
