SOUTHINGTON - Gloria M. Warner, 80, of Southington, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Warren, the daughter of Valentine M. "Rudy" and Pauline Franko Gmucs. She was a lifetime Trumbull county resident.
Gloria was a 1951 graduate of Leavittsburg High School.
She retired after 30 years service with Southington Local Schools, where she worked as a school secretary and secretary to the superintendent.
Gloria loved sewing hand-made clothing for her family. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning and shopping. She loved animals, especially her dachshund, Koby.
Gloria is survived by one son, Mark R. (Cindy) Warner of Southington; four grandchildren, Donna Warner, James Warner, Michael (Genna) Warner and David Warner; and one sister, Patricia "Pat" Barnett of Champion Township.
Her husband, Charles R. Warner, whom she married April 25, 1953, preceded her in death June 27, 1990. Her daughter, Gail V. Warner, died June 28, 2013, and one brother, Don Gmucs also preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Pastor Broe Davis will officiate.
Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
