LAKE MILTON - Richard D. Spencer Sr., 67, of Lake Milton entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
On June 19, 1947, in Parkersburg, W.Va., Ernest and Mary Phillips Spencer welcomed the birth of their son, Richard.
Richard was employed by Rockwell International, then at Transco, and ended his employment at Rinker.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a lifetime member of the Mahoning County Coon Hunters Association.
On Sept. 25, 1965, at Lake Milton Baptist Temple, Richard D. Spencer and Sylvia V. Robinson were united into marriage, and from this union they were blessed with three daughters, Mary, Denise and Barbara, and a son, Richard Jr.
Cherished memories of Richard will be carried on by his wife, Sylvia of Lake Milton; daughters, Mary (Frank) Zabotsky of Berlin Center, Denise (Jack) Balch of Lake Milton and Barbara (Thomas Winland) Spencer of North Jackson; son, Richard D. (Michelle) Spencer Jr. of North Jackson; sisters, Maxine (Bob) Fraley of Lake Milton, Linda (Larry) Moran of Newton Falls, Ardenia (James) Gregory of Lake Milton and Gwen Billings of Ore.; brothers, Larry (Dorothy) Spencer and Ernie Spencer, both of Deerfield; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
