NORTH BLOOMFIELD - Howard Ivan Walters Sr., 79, of North Bloomfield and formerly of Webster County, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born May 17, 1935, in Elkins, W.Va., to Lew and Madge Blankenship Walters, and was a steel mill worker.
He was a member of the United States Air Force and the National Guard.
Howard is survived by his wife, Lula Hamrick Walters; sons, Howard (Laura) Walters Jr. of Champion, Lew (Darla) Walters of Leavittsburg and Kenneth (Shannon) Walters of Greene; half-brother, William Walters of Morgantown, W.Va.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends joined the family for visitation on Tuesday at Dodd and Reed Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Howard's life were held at the funeral home with the Rev. Cofer "Bud" Cochran officiating.
Interment followed in Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo.
