HOWLAND - Vernon Scott Debeaulieu, 49, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, June 16, 2014. His daughter, Kimberly, his brother, Brian, and a family friend, Dale, were at his bedside when he passed.
Vernon was born Dec. 16, 1964, in Youngstown, the son of Vernon E. and Barbara Kover Debeaulieu. He was known to family and friends as "Scott."
While in his early 20s, Scott was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and persevered throughout his life. He enjoyed working on puzzles, watching wrestling, using his PlayStation 3, being outdoors and spending time with the grandchildren.
On July 7, 1995, in Wythoville, Va., Scott was married to Darlene G. Lindamore in the little white church in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Memories of Scott will be carried on by his loving family, his wife, Darlene; mother, Barbara; children, Patrick Devanny, Kimberly Chamberlain, Allan Ray Rihel Jr. (Jill Elmore) and U.S. Army Sgt. Kenneth Leroy (Megan) Rihel; grandchildren, Marley, Benedict, Angelina, Elmore, Allan Ray (Trey) Rihel III and Hayden Rihel; brothers, David (Julie), Rick (Kathy), Brian and Kevin; sisters, Patty (Jack) Morgan, Dianna (Dave) Perricellia, Bonnie Debeaulieu, Theresa Mayle and Chris (Bob) Lorraine; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Marcella Crago; and his two mixed beagles, Shiloh and Zeus.
Preceding Scott were his father, Vernon; and two dogs, Cuddles and Nakitabelle.
The family request that material tributes may be made in memory of Scott to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements for Scott were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
