NILES - Glenda K. Testa, 73, peacefully passed away at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at the home of her daughter surrounded by family following a short illness.
She was born July 6, 1940, in DuBois, Pa., the daughter of the late William C. and Frances V. Hutchinson Smith.
A 1958 graduate of Champion High School, she was employed in the health care field for 40 years, retiring from St. Joseph Health Care Center.
Active in bowling, she also loved to crochet and do crossword puzzles and was an avid Steelers fan.
Memories will be carried on by her children, Christine (John) Schier of Southington, Christopher (Shawna) Frantz of Niles and Georgette (Ron) Lewis, with whom she made her home; brothers, Bernard Smith of Virginia, Fred Smith of Florida and James Smith of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Veronica, Brandy, Adam, Rachael, Sara, Kia and Jaeleigh; and six great-grandchildren, Gage, Mya, Nicky, Lucas, Lilly and Skyle.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathleen Kennedy; and a sister-in-law.
