YOUNGSTOWN - Joseph W. Spohn Jr., 70, of 9 Broadway Ave., Youngstown, died after a short illness on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
He was born Oct. 24, 1943 in Sharon, Pa., the son of Joseph W. and Verna Louise Bennett Spohn Sr.
He retired from an electrician trade.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Shaffer Spohn; two sons, Jacob at home and Vernon of Eugene,Ore.; two daughters, Verna Spohn of Texas and Jenia Jo Spohn of Pennsylvania; five sisters, Gail Spohn of Warren, Yvonne O'Brien of Hermitage, Pa., Karen Reighert of Lewistown, Pa., and twins Kay Witt of Hubbard and Kim Spohn of Brookfield.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the chapel in Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Mercer, Pa.
His cremation remains will be interred at a later date in the family plot at the cemetery.
