CHAMPION - Ronald L. Burns, 63, of Champion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Youngstown, the son of Vincent L. and Lorena R. Floch Burns.
Ron was employed with Delphi Packard Electric and retired after 33 years. After retiring, he worked for Nuverra Environmental Solutions, formerly Ray Pander Trucking.
He was a proud member of GWRRA motorcycle club.
Ron enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle and being the first mate on his father's charter boat.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra R. Udall Burns, whom he married in Warren on Dec. 15, 1995; he also leaves behind his father, Vincent Burns; two children, Amanda Renee (Blake) Collins and Aaron Matthew Burns; two stepchildren, James Allen Douglass and Jonathan Fitch (Bailey) Douglass; grandchildren, Alyvia Collins, Caden Douglass and Kailee, Joshua and Olivia Douglass; sister, Marsha (Frank) Vivo; father-in-law, George Udall; and mother of his children, Peggy Miller.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena Burns; and mother-in-law, Virginia Udall.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Champion Christian Church, 151 Center St. W., Warren, with Pastor Ken Hopkins officiating.
Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park.
