Tuesday is the early registration deadline for Trumbull Art Gallery's Summerfest workshops.
This year's theme is Fibers and Fabrics, and the focus will be on the natural materials artists use to create their work. Classes will be offered June 16-26 and will culminate with the Summerfest Parade around Courthouse Square at 11:30 a.m. June 27.
This year's classes for ages 4 to 7, which meet from 9 to 10 a.m., are:

Onions + Blueberries = A Green Vest - Using fruits and vegetables to make natural dyes for a green vest to wear in the parade. (June 16, 17 and 19)
Back Packs and New Favorite Things - Back pack-making class (June 17 and 24)
Magical Wind Chimes - Wind chime making with fibers and fabrics (June 20)
Tumeric & Paprika Tote Bag - Natural dyes will be used to make a "spicy" tote bag (June 23, 25 and 26)
Classes for children ages 7 to 10, which meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., are:
Treasures Keeper Fabric Bowls - Using discarded clothing and other fabrics to create a unique bowl (June 16 and 18)
Go, Dog, Go - Mask making with cardboard and fabrics (June 17 and 20)
Carry Your Treasures - Art bag making with watercolor resist, fabric, ribbons and beads (June 19)
Feed the Birds Mobile - Mobile making with fibers, fabric and bird food. (June 20)
Everything Magical - Students can make magical creatures like shamans, spirit animals, jesters and trolls (June 21)
World's Longest Line I - Students will make a line with cast-off fibers, all of which will be attached together for the parade (June 23)
Monsters on Market Street - Monsters built and decorated with hand sewing and other techniques (June 23, 24 and 26)
Monster Stuffies - Monsters made with newspaper, paint and glue (June 25)
Classes for students ages 10 and older, which meet from 1 to 3 p.m., are:
T-Shirt Art - T-shirt decorating with permanent dyes and markers (June 18 and 25)
Read-A-Bead and Art Cuffs - Create beads from old magazines that can be used for bracelets, necklaces and key chains. (June 19)
Flower of Life Float - Students will recreate the pattern of the "Flower of Life" for a parade float (June 21)
World's Longest Line II - Students will make a line with cast-off fibers, all of which will be attached together for the parade (June 23)
Baskets of Paper - Baskets made from newspapers and magazines (June 24 and 26)
"I Am" Banner - Students will create banners using fabric, buttons, paint, yarn and tree sticks (June 25)
The fee for each class is $7 per hour. Those who register by 4 p.m. Tuesday can save $1 per hour off of the class fee.
