VOLUNTEER WORKSHOPS SET: Girlz Rock Camp!Ohio is sponsoring a series of volunteer workshops at the YWCA of Warren, 375 N. Park Ave, Warren, for those interested in participating in the upcoming Girlz Rock Camp, July 14 to 20. Volunteers must attend at least one of the workshops to become a Girlz Rock volunteer. The Girlz Rock Camp!Ohio is a one-week camp in which 7- to 17-year-old girls with no musical background or experience are taught to play an instrument, create an original song and learn to play as a band. At the end of the week, the bands play in front of a live audience as a showcase. The goal for the camp is to provide positive images of girls and women while using their imagination and creativity to cultivate their music abilities.
