For some teams, this is a place they are used to being. For others, making it to the regional tournament is uncharted waters.
In all, seven area teams - four in softball and three in baseball - are now two games away from a berth in the state tournament in Akron and Columbus, respectively.
On the softball diamond, the LaBrae Vikings are making their second straight trip to the Division III?regional tournament in Massillon.

After a year away from the regional tournament, Poland returns to Akron Firestone Stadium. The Bulldogs made the state tournament each year from 2010-2012.
In Division IV, there is a potential familiar matchup as Windham and Western Reserve both advanced to regionals and could potentially meet in the finals.
On the baseball field, the Ursuline Fighting Irish are yet again in the regional tournament. This is the fourth straight year the Irish have played at this point in the season.
Also, the Bulldogs of Poland and the Western Reserve Blue Devils are fighting for their chances to make it to Columbus for the state tournament.
