NILES - Virginia Louise Marchin, 93, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Virginia was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Warren, the daughter of the late Pete and Yanka Nemtz.
Virginia worked at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital as a lab technician until her retirement in 1983.
Virginia is survived by her children, Dianne (Donald) Szuch, Susana (Robert) Flemmens, Therese Axenfield and Dr. John P. Marchin; four grandchildren, Heather (David) Bellian, Holly (William) Sandy, Meghan (Ryan) Moore and Branden Siebenaller; and five great-grandchildren, Drew Bellian, A.J., Tomlyn and Sullivan Sandy, and Taylor Moore.
Her husband, John J. Marchin, whom she married on Dec. 26, 1942, died on Jan. 10, 1995. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Crandall and Evangeline Kirkendall.
Memorial calling hours will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, 301 High St. N.E., Warren, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Bernard Schamlzried officiating.
A private family service will take place in All Souls Cemetery.
