SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Anna Baran Boyle, 95, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, in Sandy Springs, Ga.
She was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Carnegie, Pa., as the second of four sisters and four brothers to Anna and Walter Baran.
The family relocated to Westfield, N.Y., where she was a star athlete on the 1935-1936 undefeated girls championship high school basketball team.
She was married to her husband, the late Ralph David Boyle of New Lyme, for 51 years.
She, Ralph and their three children moved to California in the early 1950s, and returned five years later to the northeast Ohio area, where they both worked at Packard Electric for more than 20 years.
After retiring to Inverness, Fla., in 1978, the couple enjoyed traveling and visits from their children and grandchildren until 1991, when Ralph passed away.
In 2004, she relocated to the Atlanta area to be near her daughter, Alana, in her later years.
She is survived by her brother, John Baran of Needham, Mass.; sister, Betty Andes of Shadyside; three children, Anita Magyar of Orwell, Daniel Boyle of Woodside, Calif., and Alana Anderson of Atlanta; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Crown Hill Burial Park and Mausoleum and Chapel, 3966 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna, with Pastor Joseph Sheely officiating.
Friends will be received 1 p.m. Friday until time of the 2 p.m. services at the mausoleum chapel.
