Tribune Chronicle

WARREN -- A Trumbull County Jail inmate who walked away from a local hospital last week is due in court today to answer to a misdemeanor escape charge connected to the matter.

An arraignment for Richard Harker, 33, 3855 Forest Ridge Court, Mineral Ridge is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in Warren Municipal Court.

Officials said Harker, who is also facing domestic violence and theft charges, got sick during a hearing in Niles Municipal Court on Friday and was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. Later that same day he walked out of the hospital still wearing his orange jail jumpsuit, officials reported. He was located early Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, his court dates have been rescheduled. He is scheduled to appear for a pretrial June 18 in Niles on domestic violence charge resulting from an incident earlier this month. He also has a pretrial scheduled in Niles on June 18 for theft charges from January.
