The latest competitive balance referendum put on the May ballot by the Ohio High School Athletic Association was passed by a margin of 411-323.
At 1 p.m., the OHSAA released the results from the 820 schools that voted, which is a 90 percent voter turnout.
With the measure passing, the competitive balance referendum will go into effect for the 2016-17 school year.
This was the third referendum for competitive balance in as many years. In 2013, the measure was voted down by 19 votes.
