HOWLAND - Frank E. Walters Sr., 86, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home.
Frank was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Sarver, Pa., the son of John and Vivian R. Johnston Walters.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as military police in Austria at the end of World War II. He had worked for the PPG Corp. and was of the Protestant faith.
Frank is survived by his wife, the former Suellen J. Todd; two sons, Frank E. Walters Jr. of New Port Ritchie, Fla., and Scott R. Walters of French Creek, W.Va.; three daughters, Sheryl Baker of Warren, Terry Lassinger and Deborah Isanogle, both of Saxonburg, Pa.; one brother, Lynn Walters of Leechburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and several great-granchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by one son, Leland Walters; three brothers; and one sister.
Services will be held noon Monday at Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, 106 Brown Road, Slate Lick, Pa., where calling hours will be held for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Slate Lick Cemetery.
