WARREN - Howard F. "Howie" Brown, Jr., 79, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 4, 1934 in Cleveland, the son of Howard F., Sr. and Margaret Brown.
He retired from the Chrysler Plant in Twinsburg as a traffic agent after 24 years.
Howard served in U.S. Navy and Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Brown, whom he married Oct. 5, 1953; two sons, Kenneth (Jill) Brown of Aurora, and Kevin (Stephanie) Brown of Rome, Ohio; nine grandchildren; a son-in-law, James E. Toth of Warren; and two brothers, Doyle (Theresa) Brown of Homosassa, Fla., and Dennise Brown of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen Toth; and son, Kevin Michael Brown.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. William Church in Champion.
A Memorial Military Service, Committal Service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, at a later date.
