WARREN A predisciplinary hearing for a city police officer who has been on paid administrative leave for more than nine months is scheduled next week.
Patrolman Reuben Shaw, who has also been the focus of a criminal investigation, is now facing internal charges, city officials confirmed on Friday. They referred questions about the specific charges to Warren police Chief Eric Merkel, who was not available for comment.
Last month, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation handed over its investigation into possible criminal charges to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office. That case is still pending.
