n Accepted the retirement of high school English teacher George Peffer, effective May 30;
n Accepted the supplemental resignation of varsity cheerleading adviser Jessica Foster;
n Approved the following certified personnel on one-year limited contracts for the 2014-15 school year: high school teachers John Anthony, $39,117; Shannon Averell, $45,993; Jody Conway, $41,419; and Danielle DeChellis, $34,057; elementary teachers Amy Dolsak, $36,976, and Dana Larson, $40,836; high school teachers Tom Senich, $34,057, and Danica Ronghi, $42,555; half-time high school teacher Beverly Simpson, $22,997; and elementary teacher Erin Rogers, $38,825;
n Approved the following certified personnel on three-year contracts beginning with the 2014-15 school year: full-time school nurse Carol Augustine, $61,302; and high school teachers Louis Domitrovich, $52,091, and Cynthia Robinson, $47,712;
n Hired Kristin Edwards as part-time elementary computer teacher on a one-year limited contract at $20,222;
n Hired Diana Hughes as central office assistant at an hourly rate of $13;
n Accepted the resignation of high school study hall monitor / attendance Diane Hughes, effective April 15, and hired Chaille Wray on a one-year limited contract at an hourly rate of $9.25;
n Granted a 2.75 percent raise to computer technician Joe Celli, at a new hourly rate of $19;
n Hired Stephen Dunlop as bus driver for the remainder of the 2013-14 school year;
n Approved an eighth-grade field trip to Washington, D.C., on May 4, 5 and 6, under the guidance of high school teacher Chuck Mooney;
n Non-renewed all supplemental contracts, substitute contracts and federal grant contracts issued for the 2013-14 school year as a "housekeeping" action;
n Approved the following for professional leave: Beverly Simpson; Sharon Rose; Samantha Rozzo; Dave Vecchione; Laurie Smith; Lou Domitrovich; Cindy Robinson; Samantha Rozzo; Dan Williams; Danielle DeChellis; Pam Ross; and Renee Ifft;
n Approved a contract with the Village of McDonald for the use of the Woodland Park Pavilion for picnics.

WHAT: Lordstown Board of Education meeting on Wednesday
PRESENT: Roberta Hiller, Ron Tyndall, Tracie Allen, William Catlin and Sandra McBride
n Approved the 2014-15 school calendar, with the first day for students Aug. 25, and last day May 31, 2015;
n Were presented a $14,000 donation from Michael Nelson, plant manager at Lafarge, for upgraded school technology.
In addition, a recent antique auction, craft show and dinner hosted by local parents generated $25,000 for immediate and future technology needs;
n Approved Mabel Jane Jackson, a registered nurse, as a consultant at $100 per month. If additional services are needed, she will be paid $25 an hour;
n Accepted $250 donation from Imperial Communities Inc. and $200 from Fear Forest.
