WARREN - Earmy Jean Stringer, 66, of Burton Street S.E., died at 9:29 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 27, 1947, in Brent, Ala., the daughter of Willard Sewell and Ula Holifield.
She retired as a physical therapist technician at Hillside Hospital and was a member of Progressive Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Anita Bender, Karen Washington, Crystal Walker and Ivory Stringer Jr., all of Warren; three stepdaughters, Lisa Vaval of Texas, Gloria Williams of Youngstown and LaKenya Stringer of Warren; four brothers, William Holifield Sr. and Jimmy Holifield Sr., both of Brent, Otha Holifield of New York and Robert Rudledge of Alabama; a sister, Rose Goode of Brent; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday at Second Baptist Church in Warren, where calling hours will take place for an hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Sibley, Murray, Wellington Funeral Home in Alliance.
