NILES - Margaret Alma Keis, 94, passed away peacefully at 6:40 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles, following an extended illness.
She was born in Indiana, Pa., on July 27, 1919, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Bradley.
Margaret worked for more than 20 years at St. Stephen School cafeteria and retired in 1980.

She was a member of St. Stephen Church and enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and baking pies.
Margaret is survived by a son, James (Barbara) Keis; two daughters, Susie (Tom) Williams and Donna Marie Lelesch, all of Niles; six grandchildren, Charles Marsh, Jason Keis, Jennifer (Ed) Joseph, Rob (Shannon) Williams, Stephanie (Darryn) Paul, Michael (Theresa) Rendziniak; three step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James Karl Keis, whom she married June 17, 1949 and who died April 27, 1985. Three brothers and two sisters are also deceased.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
Service of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Hanshaw officiating.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
