CAREER DAY PLANNED: The Edwards W. Powers Women in Science and Engineering Career Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Youngstown State University Kilcawley Center. Young women in grades six to 12 will be exposed to career opportunities in science and technology through talks by notable scientists and engineers, panel discussions and hands-on activities.
Also, the YSU Stem Showcase will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday at YSU's Moser Hall. The event is a unique way to meet with STEM faculty, students, and industry representatives about STEM careers including tours of computer and laboratory facilities and technology and research demonstrations.
