MS WALK SET: A Multiple Sclerosis walk will be held April 26 at the Eastwood Field in Niles. Check in is 8 a.m. Proceeds from the event go directly to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help fund research in hopes to one day find a cure for the disease. Nicole Sandrella of Champion, a junior at Kent State University at Trumbull, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in February and has formed a team for the Walk MS even. HMHP OFFERS WOUND CARE PROGRAM: Humility of Mary Health Partners will present a free wound care education program for nurses 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 22 at Finnegan Auditorium inside St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngstown.
Registered nurses and limited practical nurses who attend the entire program will be awarded 5.75 contact hours.
The goal of the program is to equip caregivers with information that enables them to provide optimal care to patients with skin alterations or who are at risk for skin alterations.
