HOWLAND - Dominic R. Giancarlo, 84, of Allyson Drive, formerly of Farrell, Pa., died at 5:12 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Dominic was born May 5, 1929, in Farrell, Pa., the son of Pasquale and Santa Chiodo Giancarlo.
He was a teacher and administrator in the James A. Garfield School District in Garrettsville for 27 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell.
He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in England.
He is survived by his wife, Helen J. Kobiloinsky; two stepsons, William F. Sine of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Robert M. Sine of Melbourne, Fla; one grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell. Prayers will be held at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Sharon.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
