WARREN - Joseph Marino Sr., 91, of Warren, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Warren, the son of Salvatore and Rose Marino.
Joseph retired from Republic Steel as a crane operator and had previously worked at Brainard Strapping.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Joseph served in U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his two children, Salavatore "Sam" (Dorothea "Dot") Marino of Champion, and Rose M. Redmond of Champion; six grandchildren, Christina (Keith), Gary, Angel, Darla (Steve), Samantha and McKenzie; two great-grandchildren, Stacia and Lillian; two brothers, Guy (Antoinette) Marino of Warren and Donald Marino of Warren; and one sister, Mary Ruggeri of Mayfield Heights.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Marino, whom he married Oct. 23, 1946, and who passed away May 28, 2008; a son, Joseph Marino Jr.; and two sisters, Bessie Sidote and Grace Taranto.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. James P. Walker officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joseph's name to St. Mary's Church, 301 High St. N.E., Warren, OH 44481.
