Mon., 8:16 pm: Warren man wounded when handgun fires

HOWLAND A 23-year-old Warren man remains in stable condition today at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest at Stillwagon Road S.E. home in Howland Sunday evening.

Justin Clark, 23, 530 Perkins Drive N.W., Warren, was with friends shortly after 9 p.m. at the home of Michael P. Tominey, 1722 Stillwagon, when a handgun being shown to the group discharged, hitting Clark, police said.

Police said the bullet penetrated the left chest, exited, and wound up in Clark's bicep.

The apparent accidental shooting remains under investigation.
