LORDSTOWN GROUP HOLDS FUNDRAISER: To help Lordstown Local Schools with immediate and future technology needs, a parent group is holding a fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the high school, 1824 Salt Springs Road. The kickoff dinner is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, when vendors can set up.
The group has received donations and has products for a live auction at 11 a.m. Saturday and other supporting events including an antique appraiser, Brian Dilley. There will be crafts.

DIAPER DONATIONS HELP KIDS: Making Kids Count is in critical need of diapers for its diaper bank, and Feld Entertainment, producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, will help the organization by hosting a diaper drive from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Covelli Centre. Families who bring an unopened package of disposable diapers to the Covelli Centre during this time will receive a free ticket voucher to see "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents LEGENDS!" Performances are April 25 to 28 at the Covelli Centre.
HEALTHY EATING PROGRAM: A community program designed to help participants adopt healthy eating habits is offered by Bridget Lackey, registered dietitian and community health educator for Humility of Mary Health Partners. SCOUTS TO HOLD AWARDS EVENT: The Whispering Pines District of the Greater Western Reserve Council Boy Scouts of America will host the annual district awards dinner recognizing 2013 volunteers on April 6 at St. James Episcopal Church, 7260 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman. The event will honor 33 scouts who have earned their Eagle Scout Award in 2013, the highest award possible in Boy Scouts.
Also being honored will be Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Venturing crews and scout volunteers.
