YOUNGSTOWN - George L. Grim, 81, formerly of Beech Bottom, W.Va., died Thursday, March 26, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
George was born on Nov. 29, 1932, in Greene County, Pa., the son of George L. and Fern Barnhart Grim.
George had worked as a consulting systems engineer at IBM.

He served with a YN2 rank during peacetime in the Navy in the South Pacific aboard the USS Comstock (LSD-19).
He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, and also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Beech Bottom.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Grim of Smyrna, Ga., and James E. Grim of University Heights; two grandsons; and a sister, Martha Augustine of Beech Bottom, W.Va.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly F. Kranske Grim, and a sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Boardman, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of formal processional to Mass at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, W.Va. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Beech Bottom, W.Va.
Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom.
