Wed., 10:06 pm: New All Access edition of Tribune Chronicle is now online

March 26, 2014
Tribune Chronicle

Beginning now, Tribune Chronicle subscribers can view all of the newspaper's valuable content, including news, information and advertising, on the Internet.

With the launch of the All Access program, subscribers now can read the printed version of the newspaper just like they always have, or they can access the information in the same page format on a computer screen, laptop, tablet or smart phone.

To gain access to the complete package of online information, current subscribers need only to validate their subscription at TribToday.com/AllAccess. Subscribers will be asked to provide an email address and password for their online subscription.

When nonsubscribers access TribToday.com, they will still have access to breaking news stories and headlines of the day's news, but access to the complete stories and all other features of the newspaper will require a subscription. The old versions of Tribune Chronicle apps now will only provide an executive summary of the news report.

Subscribers who are smart phone and tablet users will need the new Tribune Chronicle All Access app, which is available free through the App Store. Apps are available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices.

With the apps, subscribers can read every story or advertisement on every page of the print version of the newspaper. From any geographic location, readers can flip through the pages, view the newspaper in gallery fashion or view the stories in an easy-to-navigate grid.

Once the day's full issue is downloaded, it can be viewed throughout the day without an Internet connection. For the first time, Tribune Chronicle subscribers will be able to read the comics, classified ad pages and all in-paper advertising when they access the digital replica edition online.

Subscribers who use TribToday.com, the newspaper's website, will notice much more content on the website, including all of the local stories. And, they will have access to the complete replica edition of the newspaper. In addition to the news of the day, the website will continue to give subscribers access to thousands of archived stories.

Also for the first time, the Tribune Chronicle is offering a digital only subscription for those who live outside of our delivery area or who choose to only read the newspaper online.

A link has been added to the upper right corner of the home page for TribToday.com where current and new subscribers can get additional information, establish an All Access account, and to locate apps. A page at TribToday.com/AllAccess provides answers to frequently asked questions.

"The newspaper business is changing daily and we are thrilled to have the ability to keep our readers up to date with the latest news on a minute-by-minute basis through our website and apps," Tribune Chronicle Publisher Charles Jarvis said. "We are also very happy that we will continue to deliver a printed edition of the Tribune Chronicle to thousands of households seven days a week. No other news medium provides more value to it's readers than the Tribune Chronicle."
