NEWTON FALLS - Goldie Anthony, 89, of Newton Falls, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home.
Goldie was born on March 1, 1925, in Hope, Pa., the daughter of George C. and Ethel Coolie Wilson.
She had lived in Newton Falls since 1949, and was formerly of Philadelphia. She had worked as a kitchen cook at Arby's in her earlier years.
Goldie was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton Falls. She belonged to the Newton Falls Rebekah Lodge 311.
Goldie enjoyed reading, cooking and crocheting.
Memories of Goldie will be carried on by her family; her son, Larry W. Anthony of Newton Falls; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her special dear friend, Bernice Powell.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Deborah Kazimer; sister, Launa (Noonie) Ruch; and her brother, Andrew P. Wilson.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church, 17 N. Center St., Newton Falls, OH 44444, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Calvin Mason will officiate.
Goldie will be laid to rest in Newton Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Goldie's memory.
