WARREN - Judge Lynn B. Griffith Jr., 86, of Warren, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Warren, the son of the late Lynn B. and Stata Miller Griffith.
The Honorable Judge Lynn B. Griffith Jr. served as Trumbull County prosecutor, judge of the Common Pleas and also judge of the Warren Municipal Court. He also served as president of the Trumbull County Public Library; president of the Warren Urban League; president of the Warren Kiwanis Club; and president of the Trumbull County Bar Association.
Judge Griffith also served as deacon, trustee and Sunday school teacher for 12 years at the First Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Navy in the submarine service.
Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Iannizzaro, whom he married Aug. 21, 1948; two sons, Lynn B. Griffith III (Bernadette) of Niles and Calvin Pasquale Griffith of Shaker Heights; four daughters, Bonnie (Dennis) Molnar of Canfield, Laurie (Michael) James of Warren, Amy (Nicholas) Ahladis of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ann (Shane) Millette of Shaker Heights; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patty Kaighin; and one brother, David M. Griffith.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
