WARREN - John A. Boyce, 73, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born May 30, 1940, in Marion County, W.Va., the son of the late John W. and Luanna Hawkins Boyce.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth (Mysti) Boyce of Warren, John P. and Lewis A. Boyce, both of Reevesville, W.Va.; two daughters, Andrea K. Boyce of Warren and Sandrea C. (Charles) Carder of Old Town, Md. John also has 14 grandchildren, Chris, Timothy, Nate, Matthew, Nicholas and Saerah Boyce, Kaylee Sheets, Jasmine Carey, Jenica (Andrew) Bennett, Justina Thompson, Katrina Kostalek, Brian Tingler and Sierra Teague; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judith (Robert) Baugher of Southington; and a brother, Michael Harris of Petersburg, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John H. Boyce; a sister, Dianna Hembree; a brother, Steven Boyce; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Rasey will officiate the service.
Interment will be in Southington Reformed Cemetery.
