COLUMBUS - Margaret May Bullock Crow, 85, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at "Our Family Home" in New Albany, Ohio.
She was born April 26, 1928, at Warren City Hospital, the daughter of William ''Alfred'' and Lela May Jones Bullock.
She graduated from Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1946, and White Cross Methodist Hospital in Columbus, as a registered nurse, Class of 1949.
As her father was stricken with tuberculosis, which disrupted her childhood, she then decided to work at Benjamin Franklin TB Hospital in his honor. She retired as the afternoon supervisor from The Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital in 1993.
She was an avid sewer, quilter, gardener and OSU Buckeye fan.
With her strong Methodist faith, she was grateful for the six daughters she and her husband brought into this world.
She is survived by brothers, the Rev. William J. (Ruth) Bullock, Richard L. (H. Joan) and Robert G. (Sue) Bullock; and daughters, Kathy (David) McLaughlin from Florida, Linda (John) Hardy, Peggy Griffin, Nancy (Dan Cupps) Crow, Carolyn (Howard) Simms and Sue Crow, all from the Columbus area. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Junior Crow, in 1970, and a grandson, Richard Timothy Hardy.
