PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Palmer C. O'Neil, 100, formerly of Liberty, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in Port Richey.
Palmer was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Youngstown, the son of Giles H. and Margaret Nelson O'Neil.
He was carpenter for 38 years and was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship.
Palmer was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in European Theater.
Survivors include a son, James P. O'Neil of Hodges, S.C.; daughters, Carol Padgitt of Hudson, Fla., Linda Weingart of Leesburg, Fla., and Marcy Erickson of New Port Richey; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy A. Petersen; a brother and a sister.
There will be services held 6 p.m. Tuesday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, where calling hours will be held for two hours prior to services.
Palmer will be laid to rest in Belmont Park Cemetery.
