CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS 52, WINDHAM 21: ORWELL - The Redskins outscored the Bombers 27-8 in the first half as Cuyahoga Heights won this Division IV district semifinal at Grand Valley High School.
Jenna Stegmaier paced the Redskins with 18 points.
Windham, who was led by Brittany Knight's seven points, committed 18 turnovers in the loss.
Cuyahoga Heights plays the winner of tonight's Maplewood-Villa Angela-St. Joseph game in Saturday's district final.
PYMATUNING VALLEY 52, GARFIELD 32: RAVENNA - Geena Gabriel had a game-high 29 points as the Lakers rolled past the G-Men in this Division III district semifinal at Ravenna High School.
Megan Stech had 14 points and 14 rebounds for PV (24-0).
Grayson Rose led Garfield (16-9) with 15 points.
PV plays the winner of tonight's Rootstown-Hawken game in Saturday's district final.
MENTOR 86, HOWLAND 45: MENTOR - The Cardinals canned nine 3-pointers in the second quarter as Mentor beat the Tigers in this Division I sectional semifinal at Mentor High School.
Mentor (13-10) outscored Howland (6-17) 33-15 in the second.
Caleb Potter had 17 of his 21 points, including all five of his 3-pointers in the second quarter.
Connor Krizancic added 11 points, while Joey Zaugg put in 10 for Mentor, which now hosts Cleveland John F. Kennedy in Saturday's sectional final.
Reece Bogan paced Howland with 14 points, while Julian Lanier had 10.
Evan Steele didn't play for the Tigers. Steele suffered a torn meniscus from Saturday's Warren John F. Kennedy game in Howland when Steele hit the bleachers on an out-of-bounds play to end the first quarter.
Steele will have an MRI next Wednesday.
STRUTHERS 71, WEST BRANCH 58: STRUTHERS - The eighth-seeded Wildcats outscored the 10th-seeded Warriors 24-15 in the first quarter and never looked back in this Division II sectional semifinal.
Ray'Quan Phifer had nine of his 20 points in the first quarter. Dalton Moore (12), Kyle George (11) and Austin Yemma (10) as scored in double figures for the Wildcats.
Jerian Thomas led West Branch with 21 points, while Dustin Greenawalt added 11.
Saturday, Struthers travels to top-seeded Poland for a sectional final.
CARDINAL MOONEY 53, LAKEVIEW 30: YOUNGSTOWN - Danny Martin had 12 points, all in the first half, to lead the third-seeded Cardinals past the 11th-seeded Bulldogs in a Division II sectional semifinal.
Martin had three of his 3-pointers in the second quarter as Cardinal Mooney (12-9) outscored Lakeview (4-19) 20-3.
Jake Pishotti led the Bulldogs with nine points.
The Cardinals host 12th-seeded Crestwood Saturday in a sectional final.
MEDINA 89, BOARDMAN 37: MEDINA - The Spartans had 28 turnovers during their Division I sectional semifinal loss to the Bees at Medina High School.
Former Girard High School standout Craig Randall had 18 points to lead Medina past Boardman.
Branden Wilkins and Jon Teske each had 12 for Medina (17-6).
Brian Fryda led Boardman (2-21) with eight points.
Saturday, Medina hosts Wadsworth in a sectional final.
