WARREN - Joseph Roland Bryant Jr., 72, of 2915 Weilacher Drive, died at 3:24 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Louis Stokes Veterans Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Warren, the son of Joseph Roland and Lillie Sarah Rainey Bryant Sr.
Mr. Bryant retired from Delphi Packard Electric and was a member of Firm Foundation. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Alice Moore Bryant; two sons, Stephen Karl of Warren and Joseph Roland III of Cortland; three daughters, Tanya Denise Bryant of Chicago, Tiffany Abdulsamad of Los Angeles and Kimberly Chantel Bryant of Atlanta; one stepson, Voren Hughes of Seattle; his mother of Warren; one brother, Bruce Davenport of Warren; three sisters, Shirley Jones of Detroit, Sandra Pugh of Warren and Jeanne Baugh of Detroit; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Natasha Bryant, and a sister.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at House of Prayer U.H.C., where calling hours are one hour prior to service. The family also will receive friends at 2915 Weilacher Drive.
Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
