WARREN - Herman Ezra Walker, 87, of Warren, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Meyersdale, Pa., a son of the late Robert Walker and Goldie Dishong. He married Elizabeth Strawser Walker.
He was employed as a setup man at Grinell. He retired from the maintenance department at Warren City Schools.
Herman was a member of the C & S Club. He enjoyed watching wrestling and football, playing horseshoes, collecting trains, planting flowers and gardening. He also was a boxer in his younger years.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elizabeth Walker of Warren; daughter, Darlene (Bob) Saylor of Youngtown, Ariz.; son, Robert H. (Debra) Walker of Warren; daughters, Judy (Jim) Newsome of Warren, and Donna (Dave) Ullom of Champion; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Hayes, and parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home where Pastor Paul Young will officiate.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
