WARREN -- Trumbull County will sell bonds worth $800,000 to finance the $750,000 purchase of the downtown Warren building formerly known as First Place Bank, which county commissioners intend to used as offices for employees now in the declining Wean Building.
Commissioners today OK'd the purchase agreement for the property at the corner of East Market Street and Pine Avenue N.E. and for several smaller pieces of land that combined is a parking lot between Pine and Vine avenues and more lot space behind the bank building.
"It's a good building, there is a lot of parking," said commissioner Paul Heltzel. "Everybody who works downtown wants parking. It's going to work out real well."
