LEAVITTSBURG - Ronald Lee Faler, 59, of Leavittsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1954, in Warren, the son of Robert and Florence Faler Sr.
Ron graduated from LaBrae High School and worked as a journeyman electrician with IBEW 573 in Warren for 41 years, before retiring May 1, 2010.
He loved spending time with his family, friends, and going to Geneva-on-the-Lake. Ron was an avid bowler throughout his life. His hobbies included gardening, especially tending to his flowers, feeding the birds, playing the guitar and organ.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 699.
Memories of Ron will be carried on by his beloved wife, Karen Bresnahan Faler of Leavittsburg, whom he married April 23, 1982; two sons, Brenten Faler of Leavittsburg, and Brian Zaboroskie of Boise, Idaho; beloved grandson, Bryant and granddaughter, Tierney "Sissy" Zaboroskie; parents, Robert and Florence Faler Sr.; brother, Bob (Sandy) Faler Jr. of Leavittsburg, nephew, Bobby (Heather) Faler III; and great-nephews, Cole and Charlie Faler.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl (Lula) Faler and Charles (Hazel) Fowler, two uncles and one aunt.
Ron was loved by many family, friends, nieces, nephews and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. He gave the gift of life by being an organ donor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Kenneth Dodrill will officiate.
Family and friends are kindly invited to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
